The Right Hand Pointing Title Challenge
The concept is simple. From time--to-time we will issue a challenge to write a poem with a title we will specify. If your poem is good enough, it will be published on this page. Deadlines are present for all challenges and the submitted work (one poem, short story, or piece of visual art), must follow our usual guidelines.
Challenge #1 was to submit a poem or story with this title: "The History of Coaxial Cable." The upcoming challenges are below and ready or submissions.
Thanks to 14 poets who submitted poems. It was a tough choice.
The winner is "The History of Coaxial Cable" by Tony Press.

The History of Coaxial Cable
Less a history than a romance
Less romance than lust
Less lust than hunger
But we will call it a history
We will call it thus,
a history, that is,
not a thus
we will call it but it will not come
for the history of coaxial cable
does not include obedience
and never will
Nor does romance
Challenge #2: Write a poem or story with the title "Three Things that Happened in March." Deadline: March 10, 2015. Submit here in the category "RHP TITLE CHALLENGE."
Challenge #3: Write a poem or story with the title "Clara Briefly Responds." Deadline: April 10, 2015. Submit here in the category "RHP TITLE CHALLENGE."
And, here's a video I made of Tony's poem. Thanks to the Poetry Storehouse.
