Percheron

Smithied from arteries of earth,

hammered and creased

into muscles of ore,

 

it gallops with strides of thunder,

drafts into the battering wind

furrows of black loam. 

 

Metallic rider emblazoned

on the bay of earth

lowers his lance to charge.
