Larry D. Thomas, a longtime contributor to and supporter of Right Hand Pointing, lives with his wife, Lisa, in Alpine, TX.  Their two Long-haired Chihuahuas, Pecos and Piñon, live there, too.  Freshly returned from a trip to Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, they are still attempting to "wind down" from their view of Yosemite Valley from Glacier Point.  It changed their lives forever. Longtime admirers of the photography of Ansel Adams, they felt, standing on Glacier Point and peering into Yosemite Valley, that they were not viewing an Adams photograph of Half Dome but were literally in the photo.

Larry is a member of the Texas Institute of Letters and served as the 2008 Texas Poet Laureate.  He has published several collections of poems (seven chapbooks with Right Hand Pointing).  His most recently published poetry collections are The Goatherd (Mouthfeel Press, El Paso, TX, 2014) and Art Museums (Blue Horse Press, Los Angeles, CA, 2014).
