Rowdy
Rowdy in the narrow lanes
the moon among the trees
promotes a guttural rustle
that strikes the air upstairs,
grieves the stones.
Under such a moon,
light is music from the '50s,
Little Richard, Slim Harpo,
the Platters
blue notes in an erratic trajectory,
lunar rumpus
in the woods.
